My name is Hil Martin, born in Terenure, Dublin Jan 1951. My family emigrated to Canada in 1956.
My mothers maiden name was Bracken. She was born in 1916 in Ship Street Barracks, Dublin Castle. She had 3 brothers James, Thomas and William. Her father was Thomas Bracken born 1878 in Moyglare Co. Meath. He married Velina Sultana in Malta while serving in the British army. Her grandfather was Also Thomas Bracken born 1846 and married Anne Blount born 1848 in Moynalvey, Co. Meath.
