Trying to find more info but realize this is a common name.
She was born about 1861 in Ireland. Parents unknown and county unknown.
Per US Census records, emigrated to USA in 1880 or 1886. Married Thomas Mackesy of Ballintober, Old Ross, Wexford in Ohio in 1891. Died in Ohio on 12/29/1933.

She is my great-great grandmother. We were able to trace her husband, Thomas Mackesy back to Ballintober but the trail is cold on Bridget and can't figure out where in Ireland she is from.

Any help greatly appreciated.

  • Do you have the death certificate for Bridget ? I noticed that on her husbands death cert , his mothers name is listed, I just wondered if this might be the case for Bridget also. I looked at Irishgenealogy.ie and there is an extensive list of entrys for Bridget Fahey's so anything which could help narrow it down. What about her immigration papers , dates, ship she sailed on etc., will keep trying.

  • Co. Galway had/has many Fahy/Faheys and a good number were in Mayo, Clare and Tipperary. Have you take a general DNA test? You may have matches with 3rd or 4th cousins who have more information on your Fahey line. Parent's names would be very helpful as Eileen indicated.
