Searching for WILLIAM CASHEN or WILLIAM CASHIN born in Ireland about 1797-1800 perhaps in Badgers Rock, Kilkenny or Freshford, Kilkenny.

He immigrated to Nova Scotia perhaps via Newfoundland about 1821. He petitioed for land in Nova Scotia in 1821. He married Sarah David of Guysborough County, Nova Scotia on 17 April 1825 and states his age as 24 years old, and born in Ireland. They had children William b. Dec. 1826; Michael b. Jan 1829; Mary Oct 1830; John b. 1833; Ellen 5 Jan 1835; Margaret 1837; Patrick 1841; Thomas 28 May 1847; Charlotte 1845; and Jane b. 1853.

    The parish is Freshford R C
