Hello,

I am looking for the town my gg grandmother Catherine McCauley came from. Someone directed my to Ballylanders in County Limerick, however below is all that I know about her.

born: about 1821 in Ireland

her father's name: Daniel (from her death certificate)

She was married to James Feeney, but I do not have a record of their marriage

emigrated: US before 1849 (when her first child was born in Paterson, New Jersey)

She lived in Paterson, New Jersey from at least 1849 to her death in 1887

I appreciate any assistance.

    The birth records for Ballylanders started in 1849 while the marriage records started in 1857. So it is unlikely you will find birth and marriage records.
