Greetings from the USA,

I am returning to Ireland in a few weeks in my ongoing quest to track down Irish ancestors in the area of County Down that lies roughly between Banbridge and Rathfriland. (Specifically, Drumadonell /Drumadonald Townland near Moneyslane. Surnames are Dickson, Dodds, Corbitt/Corbett and Stewart.)

After an unnerving experience renting a car in 2016, I am seeking an IrelandXO volunteer who would be willing to drive me around that area for a few hours. I will happily pay this person for their fuel and their time, as well as a meal or two. If he or she is interested in genealogy and likes tramping around old graveyards, so much the better. (I have several specific homesteads and cemeteries in mind.)

I would like to do this exploring on Saturday Oct. 6 or Saturday Oct. 13. I will be headquartered in Belfast those days but could easily take a bus down to Banbridge.

I can be reached either via Ireland Reaching Out, or at my alternative email: pdcwest11@gmail.com.

Best regards,

Paul C.
