According to Irish Catholic Registers 1655-1915, Dyonisius Kett was born on 22-4-1826 at Rath.His parents were Patrick and Helena Foley Kett

When Denis arrived at Melbourne in 1850, his immigration papers state these parents stilll living in Clare.

Another sister Brigid born in 1825

I am unclear exactly where Rath is-hoping to find a more specific location for the family

    Rath ( Irish: An Ráth) is a civil parish in the barony of Inchiquin in County Clare

     

    Bridget was baptised on 23rd Feb 1825 and her Godparents were Michael Kavanagh and Maria Kett
