m. Catherine McGinn (date unknown)
d. 23 December 1876, Lindsay Ontario Canada
They emigrated from Ireland to Canada in the mid 1800`s. Settled in the area of Lindsay,Ontario.
They brought all of there children but the eldest.

: Myles was a Schoolmaster of Cashel (Irish Church missions). Catherine was a schoolmistress.

Have you tried looking for Edward?s birth certificate to find out information on his parents? If his family followed the Church of Ireland you can get information on what records are available at the following links:
http://ireland.anglican.org/about/42 and http://www.nationalarchives.ie/.
If his family were Catholics, you could try writing to the local parish priest for possible assistance as most Catholic records are still held locally. One website which you may find useful is the Irish Times where they give an overview of what records are available in specific parishes. For Omey/Clifdon parish follow this link:
