Hi my paternal Grandmother had the last name Fox. 

After trying do do some research on Ancestry The oldest relative i see concerning her line is her grandfather Edward Fox, father of James E Fox, her father. Her Grandfathers name is Edward G Fox i believe. Believed to be born in New York. On the census it is from Kings County; Brooklyn New York. On the 1910 Census it is written that his mother and father were born in Ireland. My guess would be from Kings County, Offaly? Could you maybe do some research and see what you could maybe find. On Ancestry.com,  it records that Edward G Fox was born in 1878 in USA. He had eight children with Sarah Fox, six children with Sadie Fox, and six children with Ethel Fox.

    We can't search for the parents of Edward G. Fox since we do not have any given names for them. In the 19th century, the surname Fox was found in almost every county in Ireland.

    Can you get a copy of the death record for Edward G. Fox which might show his parents names?

    Have you considered autosomal DNA testing?

  • No I cannot seem to find one. If I come across it I will be sure to let you know. 

    And no , i Havent tried DNA Testing Yet.

  • Hi Daniel, my Fox family also came from Kings County, Ireland. I have records for Philipstown and Gorteen. I was just wondering if you had any sucess tracking your Fox's? I've had my DNA testing done with Ancestry and have a big tree on there.
