Can anyone help with information about any members of any family called Goffey. I have been told my family came from Ireland but I have only traced them back to Liverpool in 1775 when Arthur Goffey married Sophia Woodside. She was definitely born in Liverpool in 1750 but I have no information about where Arthur is from.

The surname Goffey was not found in the Tithe Applotment listings (1820s-1830s) or the Griffiths Valuation survey (1848-1864). Roots Ireland www.rootsireland.ie had one Goffey baptismal record from 1827 in Co. Antrim.
