Hi Tim,
There are 3 public member trees on ancestry.com that have this information:
James Doak was born 1810 in Donegal; parents Samuel Doak (born 1772 Dublin) & Mary Elizabeth McLeed 1775 (born 1775 Dublin)
James married Elizabeth Bean (born 1818) Bairdsville New Brunswick in1835
I searched rootsireland.ie for baptisms/births of James Doak with father Samuel and got 3 matches: 1831, 1832 & 1873 all in Donegal. When I searched with the mother's first name Mary added the only match was the 1831.
I couldn't find any birth record for Elizabeth Bean or Mary McLeed.
There are marriage records of Samuel Doak to Mary --- 1823 & 1841 in Donegal, 1834 in Down & 1875 in Derry.
The Tithe Applotments (1823-37) which are free to search has 6 Doaks .- 3 in Tipperary and 3 in Donegal
I only found 2 matches for Samuel Doak's birth - 1794 in Donegal (Doke) and 1820 in Derry.
I couldn't find the Canadian marriage record of James & Elizabeth.
The information on the ancestry is unsourced so can you tell me where the biirth and marriage info came from please?

Hi! I'm 8 years late responding to this question but James Doak would be my great, great grandfather and there is a good family tree on www.FamilySearch.org. Otherwise, I don't know anything.
