  • This may not be an awful lot of good but here is what is available from Duagh Church records.

First, there is no baptism record in Duagh church records for a Patrick Kelliher in the period around 1840. However there is a marrage record:

Patrick Kelliher married Mary McElligott of Duagh on 8 Sep 1858. The witnesses were John Costello and John Harnett. They had the following children:

Bridget Keliher: baptised, 28 Aug 1859) (sponsors: Denis Keliher & Johanna McElligodd)

Timothy Keliher: baptised 1 Dec 1861, (sponsors: Denis McElligott & Norry McElligott)

Kate Keliher: baptised 2 Jan 1865, (sponsors: John Griffin & Kate Griffin)

Mary Kelliher: baptised 10 Apr 1870, (sponsors: Patrick Murphy & Honoria Kelliher)

Maurice Keliher: born 9 Nov 1872, baptised10 Nov 1872, (sponsors: Timothy Keliher & Margaret Brick)

Hanora Kelliher: born 26 May 1875, baptised 30 May 1875, (sponsors: Cornelius Connor & Bridget Kelliher)

Patrick Kelliher: born 9 Nov 1877, baptised 22 Nov 1877, (sponsors: Timothy Kelliher & Bridget Kelliher)

Denis Kelliher: born 3 Jul 1880, baptised 8 Jul 1880, (sponsors: Timothy Kelliher & Helen Kelliher)

Note: no birth dates were recorded prior to 1870, hence the first four children listed above only have baptism dates. For the first two children, the local address is Duagh, for the third, it is Knockavallig and for the final five, it is Toor.

I hope this is of some use.
