  • Cindy,
I have found 8 Kenny male births in that area of Tipperary in 1932.
    Is your Father still alive?

  • Cindy, have you got a copy of his brith certificate?
I have searched every site and can not see a birth for Michael William Kenny in 1932 or plus and minus 5 years.
I can not find a marriage for Kevin Kenny and Mary Grant either.
The only thing I did find were 3 births in Durham, England in 1934, 1936 and 1939. Surname Kenny and Mothers maiden name Grant.
The only other name I found was a Kevin Kenny b 1930 in Cork and died in 2002 in Clonmel, County Tipperary.

  • Hi Margot

I'm sorry but my Dad didnt have a birth certificate. He told me that in the early 1930's in Ireland babies were only registered in the church parish their were born in, so that would have been in Glengoole parish in Tipperary.

Are you able to access the parish church records or is there another way to be able to access them.

    Regards

  • Hi Cindy,
    you say.......
He told me that in the early 1930's in Ireland babies were only registered in the church parish their were born in

Not true, all BDM were registered after 1864.
Most Church records on line end around the 1886's if you are very lucky they may be later entries.

Try here...........this is Church in Glengoole. There is an email address. (sorry but you may have to pay)
