The Tithe Applotment Records -  www.nationalarchives.ie - James Fox in parish of Clooney, Diocese of Killaloe in 1827. Baptism records for Clooney parish - 1816 to 1855 - Marriage from 1833.

Catholic Records - www.nationallibray.ie. Clooney is approx six miles from Ennis, alos known as "Clooney/Quin!

The parish of Kilfidane (Coolmeen) has a Tithe Record for James & Patrick Fox in 1824. Parish records from 1860's. Kilmurray McMahon area of West Clare.

Clare Library - www.clarelibrary.ie may have some information. Those Sites are free.

I have just seen your post.  The parish of Killonaghan is in the Burren area of Clare and is located very close to Clooney(Corcomroe) which is in the north-west part of County Clare.  I do see that there is a James Fox occupying land in the townland of Cullinagh.  It is possible that this could be a connection.  There is a John Fox in Cullenagh in Griffith's VAluation, which was an 1855 Valuation taken throughout County Clare.  

Unfortunatley, the parish registers for that area only begin in 1870.  If you have any further information that you would like to share, please feel free to do so.   As McCoy stated, the Clare Library website is worth having a look at.  In particular, the civil parishes that you find have useful information are:
