thank you so much for getting back to me its very much appreciated.

i would love to get a copy of the marriage certicate for my great grandparents Patrick Martin and Brigid Kenny can you please let me know how i go about it

    Go this link http://www.welfare.ie/en/Pages/Apply-for-Certificates.aspx and in the middle of the page, hit the link for marriage certifcate in English. You will likely get a screen asking for a User Name and Password. Hit cancel and the marriage form should come up. Print the form and fill it out. Provide the GRO the quarter/year of the marriage, registration district (Longford) and the volume and page number ( 3 and 153). Make sure you ask for a copy which should cost around 4 euros. You can also ask the GRO to e-mail the copy back to you.
