Looking for any information about my GGParents, Charles Martin & Mary Gaffney and/or their families.
The only Irish record I have for Charles is his baptism on the 3/7/1853 in Kildalkey parish - he is recorded as Charly in the records. His parents are John Martin & Bridget Smith. Sponsors at the baptism were James Smith & Catherine Smith.
In 1886 he married Mary Gaffney in Sydney, Australia.
Mary is also believed to have been born in County Meath (1857?). Her parents are Thomas Gaffney & Catherine Murray.
Any information about my GGParents or their families would be greatly appreciated.

I searched on the subscription site Roots Ireland. I did not find a marriage record for Thomas Gaffney and Catherine Murray. I did find seven baptismal records for children: Patrick 1849 John 1854 Thomas 1858 Elizabeth 1861 James 1864 Margaret 1868 Luke 1871 I did not find Mary. Here is a link to the parish register.https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0902 Maybe you can search around 1857 to see if you can find the record. The family lived in Martinstown.

I located the death records for Thomas and Catherine on the free site www.irishgenealogy.ie They both died relatively young.
