Iam trying to trace BERNARD MCALEER (born in Tyrone Northern Ireland ?) who married ANN (ANNIE) O'BRIEN i think in Monaghan Ireland. I know of one son JAMES MCALEER born 1864 or 1866 CO. Monaghan Ireland. Married a BRIDGET MCGLONE on the 27/11/1891 in the parish of Monaghan,Co Monaghan. There is no records of JAMES birth in the parish records or in the rooskey Civil Registration Service. Iam looking for any help or info on the MCALEER family. Or am i at a dead END. Lived in Park Street, Belgium Square, Hill Street, Plantation terrace.

  • I searched the 1841 & 51 Censuses for both spellings in Tyrone but found nothing.

There are some in the Tithe Applotments but none in Tyrone

Best result is in Griffiths Valuation which had 254 in Tyrone 1848-64; all sites are freely accessible online
