I am attaching a Church Marriage Record for the marriage of JOHN Murphy & Ellen Hyde in Ballymacoda Ladysbridge Co Cork on 20 Feb 1849. Although you were looking for a Michael Murphy, I would be very confident that his name was probably Michael John Murphy. They would have been married in Ballymacoda because it may have been the Parish of yje bride and it was tradition to marry in her home parish,

I will continue to look for any further evidence (and children) of this couple and siblings etc and get back to you if and when I do.
