Hi Roger,

Thank you for the reply. The family was Church of Ireland. My Grandmother worked at the church in Bilboa, and did the cleaning and flowers. They moved from Dublin to Coolbanagher in Co. Laois and then to Bilboa. As far as I know my father had a brother, Thomas who with four sisters died of TB in Dublin. His two sisters, Clara and Doris survived. I don't know my granfathers name or my granmother's first name or maiden name. She died in England, around 1960 in Worcester where Clara was living. Her husband was Harry Ball.

Theire neighbours in Bilboa were the Grahams, dairy farmers and had 11 sons, as far as I remember.

Any help will be appreciated. My father married Ruth Kelly in Rathgar church on 16 August 1944, I cannot trace that in the records.

Thanks so much for that info. I have, as a result, tra

cked Doris Nevin, Clara and my Dad's records, and my grandmother and grandfather. Before that, Irish records are very sketchy, but am still working on it. You certainly have been a great help. I now know that Doris Nevin, who died in US, I found a death notice, in which I am mentioned as a survivor, which gave me my grandmothers maiden name, and her husband's first name. He was also William Nevin. To trace further back is proving difficult. It seems there was a Census in Ireland in 1901 and 1911. Nothing after that.

However, we will continue, and thanks again for your kind assistance. Any further news I will let you know.
