My g.grandfather was Timothy Murphy, son of John Murphy, a farmer from Ballyhesty. He married Margaret Mulcahy in June 1871 in Knockaville, Innishannon. Am I correct in thinking that Ballyhesty is in Glanmire parish? Are the parish records available online anywhere? Is anyone else researching this family?

Jill:
I looked at Google Maps and Ballyhesty is not too far from Glanmire so it is likely that Ballyhesty is in the Glanmire RC parish. I would check www.irishgenealogy.ie which has a lot of Cork baptismal and marriage records. I found the 1871 marriage records and maybe you can find other records including Glanmire records.

Thanks Roger. I have been through the records on irishgenealogy.ie and also have the civil marriage cert. for them. This contains more information than the church record. Unfortunately Glanmire is not one of the parishes shown on irishgenealogy.ie
