Parish Name

I apologize, the title of my previous mail should have reference the Mannion family in Moylough, Ballinasloe parish.

I was looking at the 1901 census to try to find your family. I could not locate any Mannions in Creagh or Kilcloony civil parishes. I also looked at Moylough civil parish. There were 19 Mannion households but no Bernard or Ellen so I presume they were deceased by 1901. Did Delia leave any siblings behine particularly brothers?

I started looking for records for Bryan Mannion/Manion. Bernard and Bryan were interchangeable. One of my great grandfathers was Bernard on some records and Bryan on others. I looked at the 1856 griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Moylough parish and did not find a Bernard Mannion but there were three Bryan Mannion/Manion in the parish. Delia's father may have been one of the three. ( The name of the townland was shown after Bryan). I also looked for death index records in the Mountbellew registration district (which includes Moylough parish). I found a record for a Bryan Manion who died in 1882. He is likely one of the three below but not sure if he is your relative.

There are lots of Mannion's in Kilcreaventy in Galway, near Tuam. You can find them in the 1901 and 1911 census.
