Hello,

Searching for information on the parents of my Grandfather (William)  who was born around 1900 (William died 1965). He said that he was born in Toronto (then lived NYNY) however, the family is not absolutely convinced this is true.

Patrick was said to be an Electrical Contractor. Patrick married Annie Johnson.

William was a merchant seaman and lived in Australia from the 1920s to his death.  It is said he came to Port Kembla NSW on a whaling ship

Any assistance or connections greatly appreciated

    If William was born in Ireland, there will be a civil record of his birth as civil registration began in Ireland 1864. Civil records are available from the General Register?s Office. Here are their contact details:
