I know Patrick Lynch is one of the most common names one could think of and because of this fact, I have been stumped for 20 years.  I am looking for information about Patrick Lynch (born 1844), son of Patrick Lynch and Mary Byrnes Lynch.  He moved to Plainfield, NJ (probably from City Limerick) in 1868.  His wife was Alice Vokes, daughter of Thomas Vokes of Pump Lane in Limerick.  They are a Catholic Vokes clan.  I am aware of the larger and more prominent Church of Ireland Vokes clan from City Limerick. I have been in contact with several Vokes descendants and have much information to share.  If anyone knows of a Lynch-Byrnes connection from the 1830’s or 1840’s I would greatly appreciate the contact.
