I have a birth certificate dated 1 Oct 1937 showing my great grandfather was born on 7 October 1869 and baptized on 10 October 1869 at the Vhurch of St. Patrick in the parish of Killala, county of Mayo, diocese of Killala. His parents are listed as John Cunningham and Anne Dooher. Would love to see if any more information is available on Peter and his parents. Maybe where they lived , is the house still standing, birthdate & marriage of his parents, parents occupation. Thank you for any info and sources you can provide.

Hello again!
I located seven siblings to Peter: Bridget 1857 Edward 1861 John 1862 Martin 1864 Matthew 1867 Honor 1873 Mary 1877 Records located on the subscription site Roots Ireland.
Killala marriage records start in 1873 and civil registration started in 1864. With a child born in 1857, John and Anne were likely married in 1856 or earlier so no record would be available. Also no baptismal records would exist for John Cunningham and Anne Dooher since Killala baptismal records start in 1852.
The family lived in the town of Killala. No way to tell where they lived. John Cunningham was a labourer based on info on a birth certificate.
I don't see the family in the 1901 census in Killala. Did they emigrate?

Again, this is great information too. Apparently Margaret Bolgers first husband Matthew Hayes passed away in Ireland I assume and she then emigrated to the US. Margaret married Peter Cunningham in Philadelphia, PA but have not found any immigration records on either and if any of Peter's other family came over. Thanks again
