Question about parish registers for Valentia

A reference book I have indicates the RC records for Valentia parish start in 1825 which matches the data provided on the NLI site. Don't know which years you are searching but if you want parish records later than 1880, you would have to contact the parish directly. Civil records would be available at the free site www.irishgenealogy.ie

Thank you, Roger. I have been searching for Valentia marriage & baptism records from about 1820 to 1850, but haven't been able to find the people I am looking for. That made me wonder if perhaps some parish records were not included. Since the records are complete, I may be searching in the wrong area. I have death certificates for the family all of which list a different county of birth for their immigrant parents. The names (Murphy & Denahy) are so common that it further complicates the process. But I press on. Many thanks for your quick reply.

Have you tried the free site www.irishgenealogy.ie (Church Records TAB)? They have Co. Kerry church records up to around 1880. Maybe your ancestors were in another Keery parish.
