Hello,
I am hoping to find information on my maternal grandfather's family. My grandfather, Daniel Hope Okeefe, was born in Pennsylvania, US, in 1921. I believe that his father, my great-grandfather, (also Daniel Okeefe) was born in Pennsylvania around 1893. From there, I believe that the family originated from Ireland.
Any help will be much appreciated,

Keeffe or O'Keefe is primarily a Co. Cork name but the name is found in other counties also.
Our volunteers would need information on the father of the 1893 Daniel who hopefully was born in Ireland. What year was he born? Civil registration started in 1864 and before that Church records are available for a good number of parishes. I would use Ancestry.com to look for the 1900 census and then work back. www.familysearch.org is another good site.
