My great grandfather was Michael O'Loughlin and his wife was Mary Kelly. All I know is that they were both born in Ireland about 1830 and by the early 1850's were living in the United States in Missouri.

I haven't had much luck finding Michael & Mary.
On rootsireland.ie there are too many Michael O'Loughlins and Mary Kellys born abt 1830.
I couldn't find them in the USA Censuses on ancestry.com - there are only 2 Michale O'Loughlins with wife Mary - one aged 72 & Mary aged 58 living in NY in the 1900 census; the other in the 1880 census in Pennsylvania aged 44.
However, the Murphy public member tree on ancestry has Michael O'Loughlin born 1854 in Wisconsin, lived in St Louis Missouri 1880, married Mary Murphy 1884. his parents were Peter OlOughlin and Bridget O'Dea. Peter was born 1805 in Corofin Clare Ireland and lived Taychedah Fon du Lac Wisconsin.
Bridget was born in the same place in Ireland in 1830 - quite an age difference!
