I am seeking information about Michael McLoughlin and his family. Michael was the schoolmaster of the Roman Catholic in Kinsafad and Grange Townlands in Carrick in County Kildare in 1826. His wife’s name was Anne.
Michael’s son, and my ancestor, Valentine McLoughlin was born on 5 February 1827 and baptized 18 March 1827. He was baptized at the Church of Ireland church in Carbury, County Kildare. Valentine grew up to be a sailor and immigrated to Pennsylvania, USA.
Records from Pennsylvania indicate that Valentine had three siblings, but thus far I have been unable to find any record of them.

I took a look at Roots Ireland www.rootsireland.ie I searched in Co. Kildare for children of Michael McLoughlin with a wife named Anne from 1817-1837. Only one record came up--Valentine in 1827.
