My great-great grandfather was David Kenny.  He was born some time between 1862 and 1864.  He lived in the Ballyheigue area--specifically the "Doon" area.  He worked on the grounds of the Ballyheigue Castle when the Crosbies lived there.  He emigrated to the US in about 1886. I know he had a brother named Patrick and a brother named John.  My father's cousin believes that David's mother's name was either Mary or Nora.  Online baptismal records indicate that David's parents MIGHT be Thomas and Mary (nee Delaney) Kenny.  I came to this conclusion because through the baptismal records, this was the only family that had children named Patrick, John and David.

My father's cousin visited Ballyheigue in 1980.  At that time, she met Bride Harrington, who would be David's niece.  Bride showed our cousin the remains of the foundation of a house where David had lived in Doon.  While they were looking at  this site, John Kenny, who lived nearby, spoke with my cousin.  He would be either a nephew or a grand-nephew to David.

David's, brother Patrick also emigrated to America.  When they lived here, the sur-name was changed to "Kinney" which is my maiden name.  Both brothers, at some point in their lives, lived in South Dakota where I am from.  David died in South Dakota.

If anyone is familiar with any of the names mentioned above, I would be very appreciative to hear from you.
