Hello, I will be visiting Oldcastle this fall and would like to know if there is a historical society there that i can visit. I am looking for b/d/m info especially burial sites. My ancestors, the John Leddy family were farmers from Fennor Upper and came to the US in 1848. I am looking for his father, also named John Leddy.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

The subscription site Roots Ireland has a March 5 1835 baptismal record for a John Leady in the Oldcastle RC parish records. Parents were John Leady and Bridget Masterson. I don't see any records for siblings. Would this record be for your ancestor? I will alert our HQ regarding your trip.
