As you can see from the link below, Ballyporeen is in the Civil Parish of Templetenny, Co. Tipperary:
The records for Ballyporeen, the corresponding Roman Catholic Parish begin in 1817. As this is the case, you could have a look at www.familysearch.org or www.rootsireland.ie (a subscription site) for information on your Walsh ancestors.
You may also be able to find a record of the family on the Tithe Applotment Books 1823-1837 and Griffith?s Valuation 1847-1864, the former was a tax on agricultural produce paid to the Church of Ireland and the latter was a land tax survey:
