t My grandmother was Agnes (Caslin) Cassidy her parents were Peter Caslin and Ann McLoughlin. They were from Roscommon and I believe the parish was Clooncraff, townland Cuilmore. My grandfather was Thomas Casserly, who changed his name to Cassidy when he came to the U.S.  His father was either Mark or Michael Casserly and his mother Mary Beirne or Obyrne. I know they too were from Roscommon and I think the parish was Kilcolagh, townland Mantuar, but not absolutely sure about their parish and townland

    Below are the 1901 census records for the two families. You had the townlands and parishes correct. Looks like Agnes and Thomas were already in the USA.

    Below the census records is the transcription of Thomas' baptismal record from 1869. father was Mark and mother was Mary Beirne.

    I know this reply is a few years too late! But I'm hoping you might see it at some time. Peter Caslin and Anne McLoughlin of Cuilmore are my great great grandparents. I have heard of Agnes- she and several of the other children immigrated. I have a good bit of info gathered about the McLoughlin/Caslin family and found two other cousins of ours- one in Australia and one in US. My email is @mccormackalicia272@gmail.com.
