Thank you

  • Dear wriannam:

Thank you for query to the Ireland Reaching Out message board and welcome to the site.

You might find the Raheny Historical Society of some assistance with your query.  Their address is:

    http://www.rahenyheritage.ie/

They are a very active Heritage group and have published some journals.  In addition, they have a genealogy group that meets on a regular basis as well as a local history group.

The best of luck with your research and if you need further assistance, please let me know.

    Kind regards,

    Jane.

  • Thank you so much. So interesting. I did have relatives at Black banks in the mid 1800s.

As far as I know the Barnwell family still live in the locality.  There are two farms marked on the old maps of Kilbarrack Lane.  One of them is Barnwell.
