  • I suspect Thomas?s place of birth may be Pomeroy (rather than Primroy). Pomeroy is a small town in Co. Tyrone. Donnelly (and variant spellings) would be quite common in that area. There 102 in Pomeroy electoral area in the 1901 census.

I can?t find anywhere near Portglenone named Rosegift. The surname Michaelmas is also not recorded in Griffiths Valuation anywhere in Ireland (1848 - 1864), let alone in Co Antrim. None in the 1901 census either, anywhere in the country. So struggling a bit to help you. Do you have any other information about the couple, eg Margaret?s father's name and occupation?

Could Margaret?s surname be Michael? There is an Alexander Michael family in Portglenone parish in Griffiths Valuation, farming in the townland of Drumraw in 1861.
