I have already posted but am nearing my trip to Ireland.  I will be visiting England and Scotland and Ireland October 3rd to the 17th.  From the 17th of October to the 20th I will be in Northern Ireland.  My Grandfather, James Hamilton McNeice was born in Ballymena on December 25th 1876, one of 7 children.  His parents, my Great Grandparents, were Samuel and Margaret Ann McNeice who married in Ballymena in 1871.  I am anxious to meet up with relatives and see walk the ground my Grandparents did.  If anyone has any information I would love to hear from you .

  • There are 4 McNeice and another 4 McNiece entries in the current phone book, all in the Ballymena area. Why don?t you give some of them a call?

  • Hi Sharon, just read your message belatedly.

Hopefully you've had some success on your visit to Ireland?

We are also researching this branch of McNeices from Ballymena, in particular Samuel McNeice married to Maggie resided at House 18 The Cottage TullyGarley, Samuel deceased 1919 following his discharge from the army due to health and records state he had  three children though we've been unable to account for two others apart from Isabella aged 2months in 1901. There appears to be a burial entry for a Margaret mcNiece at Ahoghill 1st Presbyterian Church and some other McNeices undated. I can certainly share what I have. Kind regards. Ronan

  • I have two Samuel McNeice in my family tree.  One born about 1847 in Lisburn and married Jan Gordon in 1871 in Blaris.  The other born about 1883 and married Sylvia Stevens in 1914.  Any connection to your family trees?
