In 1814, Peter McConnell filed a petition for land in Guysborough County, Nova Scotia. In this petition, he indicates that he was 29 years of age, and a native of Belfast. In a subsequent petition in 1819 he indicates that he had been in Nova Scotia for 8 years, and had served 4 years in His Majesty's Naval Service. He died 17 Feb 1858 at Wine Harbour, Guysborough County, NS. Does anyone have an idea where I might find records of his family or his naval service. Thank you for your assistance.

Another nice pair of DC shoes. I find the fit to be as expected, but if you are unsure get a half-size bigger. I really like the Pure style as they are comfortable, give good support and can be worn all day long. I've had a number of these shoes over the years and they last a long time.
