i am looking for any information on the Tracey family. They appear in the 1901 and 1910 census. Father was Christopher; mother was Alice. Children were Robert, Christina, and Margerita.

  • Christopher Tracey married Alice Conlan 22nd July 1888 in Belfast. According to the 1911 census they had 14 children of whom 4 were still alive in 1911. You can search for the children on the GRONI site. Enter the parents names and leave the child’s forename blank. Search under variants eg Conlon as well as Conlan.

Possible death for Alice Tracey 7th April 1904 aged 36.  You can view the original certificates on-line on the GRONI website, using the “search registrations” option:

    https://geni.nidirect.gov.uk

You will need to open an account and buy some credits. It costs £2 (sterling) to a view a certificate.

    Probate abstract:

Tracey Christopher of 39 Earlscourt Street Belfast retired lithographic printer died 30 December 1934 Probate Belfast 4 February to Thomas Cairns technical expert and Joseph Slevin spinning master. Effects £1575 19s. 1d.

The full file is in PRONI (the public record office) in Belfast in paper format.
