I am descended from Robert who immigrated from Ballymartin in 1848. Robert was born 11 Sep 1825 and was the son of James and Sarah (Laird) Greer. The Greers attended the Templepatrick Presbyterian Church. Robert initially moved to Livingston County, NY with his brother John. Robert married Jane Courtney who was from Cloughanduff, Templepatrick. John married Janes's sister, Mary Ann Greer. Later they all moved to Kalamazoo County, Michigan near the town of Augusta. There has been a yearly reunion of their descendents until just the past couple of years.
