My Father was born to Edward Lucas Shane and Married my Grandmother Harriet,the were in Nebraska,my Grandfather was born in 1880,i was told my Ancestory is Irish,and told from family they came from County Cork,need some help tracking,ortrying to find out my Irish Heritage which i am very proud of.Hope someone can help me.thank you Daniel Shane

    I suggest that surname Shane if of Cork origin could be derived from Sheehan ( pronounced Sheahan)  a popular name there. As a genealogist I found Edward Sheehan (b.1870) married Harriet Elizabeth Johnson and had daughter Sarah in 1904 in Bristol Massathusetts .
