Looking for William Clark family born in Belfast in 1865. Fathers name was Anthony and mothers name was Alice. William went to America with his brother Edward. William was the youngest of 14 children. Any family history would be great.

  • I searched the UHF database and did not find a birth of a William Clark in 1865 whose father was Anthony but there was one in 1864. You might want to pay to view it:

Looking at the births in Belfast on the GRONI site, there was a Wm Clark born 29.9.1864 in Belfast, mother’s maiden name was Vance. Possibly that’s the family.

Birth registration only street in Ireland in 1864, so tracing William’s older siblings will be tricky. You would need to check church records but to do that you would need to know which church the family attended. However the birth certificate, if correct, should at least give you an address and father’s occupation which may help track the family in street directories etc.
