My great-grandfather George Henry Matthews was born over Christmas season 1851 but left Lisburn when he was in his mid-teens to join the British Army fighting the Zulu Wars in South Africa. He stayed on and never returned home to Ireland. I have no idea what his parents' names were. He had a brother Tom who joined him in South Africa, also in the British army. We hope to find Matthews still in Lisburn who have the same YDNA as we do and work on genealogy together until we connect to George Henry Matthews.
