My research has come to a brick wall. I am researching the Donnelly family that emigrated to Barbados. My ancestor James Henry Donnelly came to Barbados with 5 brothers William, Charles,Arthur,Daniel and John. James came to Barbados abt 1836. The only connection to Ireland is through John. John was a priest he died 20 Nov 1852. He may be buried under the floorboards of St. Patricks Church (Barbados). I was in contact with a follow researcher about John Donnelly. John has a headstone in Lislea, County Armagh which reads "John Donnelly Parish Priest Son of Arthur and Sarah Cox/Fox. " John wrote to a sister Catherine in the USA 13 July 1852. I am hoping that Arthur and Sarah could be my ancestors parents and verify the headstone.

You could try checking the land records called the Tithe Applotment Books (1823-38) or the later Griffith's Valuation (1848-64)for any of the brothers' relatives. Griffith's is freely available here: www.askaboutireland.com or here: www.failteromhat.com Failte Romhat has lots of other useful links you could try looking at.
Do you know much about their emigration? Dates, the reason why they left, etc.? Generally more information was given at the port of arrival rather than the port of departure. If you knew which city they arrived at (e.g. Liverpool), this could be a good place to find more information, and perhaps even find out an exact place of origin.
Lislea is a placename which appears in three civil parishes in County Armagh: http://www.irishtimes.com/ancestor/placenames/index.cfm?fuseaction=Simple&UserID= . You could perhaps try writing to the local parish priest for more assistance with church records in these areas.
