Mary James my 4XG Grandmother was transported to Austalia in 1831 for 7 years on the "Hooghley3" from Cork after being sentenced in Tipperary. Her Sister Ann may also have also been with her.
Diane you are correct, Mary and Anne are listed as sisters on the Australian convicts indents, they came from co Carlow and where sentenced in Tipperary, they were convicted because of stealing wheat (Mary) and house robbery (Anne)
