My 3x great grandfather Edward Mullen was born in about 1800, in County Carlow.  He left Dublin for Philadelphia in 1816, accompanied by Thomas and Patrick Mullen.  Relationships with the other Mullens on the passenger roster are undefined, but I do see that a Patrick Mullen was on the Catholic Qualification Rolls of 1798... so perhaps Edward was Patrick's son.  I've been unable to establish with certainty the fates of Thomas and Patrick on this side of the Atlantic but am thinking that perhaps someone back in Ireland might have more information.  It would be a major thrill to locate real live relatives in Ireland too!
