Hello, I am searching for my ancesters who I believe attended Tomregan Parish Church in Co. Cavan. David Ross (I believe it is the same David listed in the Fermanagh Title applotment book in 1827). Family records say he was married to an isabella (monaghan) and had a son named Thomas around 1843 who later moved to the USA around 1864. According to records he had brothers still in Ireland when he left (David, John and James). After Taking a DNA test I found some close links of the Ross family near Derrylin who told me of relatives they had in Umera townsland Co fermanagh. We Believe they attended church just over the border in Cavan. It is likely they would have married, been buried or perhaps have baptisms noted in the church there but I do not know how to contact them!

I would appreciate any help !

Thank you,

Tom Ross

  • Hi Florence
I have emailed Tom but it has bounced back, so I have added a message to the original one he posted. As his email address seems to be invalid/out of action we will have to wait for him to log back on to the site and see your message here.

I have flagged it in as many ways as I can, so fingers crossed.

    Best wishes
