there seems to be crossover here and some info was given in another reply. I am answering from Drogheda and Carroll is a common name in Louth in general with some well known ones. You have already been directed to the General Registry Office website at http://www.groireland.ie/ which should have information on the civil register since 1864 if the event was actually registered, not all were, especially in the early days. The name of the father often apppears on the marriage certificate even the church one.

I may be in a position to check graves in the 3 primary graveyards in Louth if the local library has the books that were published in the early 1990's on them if you wish.

are the parents of Michael oconnell,

born 10 october 1869.

his wife died 24 april 1952,

interred st peters droheda co louth.
