I was always told my great-grandmother came from County Clare. She arrived in New York in 1879 aged 19 years. Her parents were Mary Hogan and Michael Walsh. I have found a marriage record for a couple I believe could be them in Ennistymon but I cannot find a record of my great-grandmother's birth. She was born in December of 1859, her name was Bridget Teresa Walsh. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I do realize this may not be the right parish but it is the best lead I have so far.

    Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!

Baptismal records for Ennistymon parish do not start until 1870  http://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0621  so if Bridget was from that parish, a record would not be available. Can you share the marriage record?

I looked on Find My Past to see if she was baptized in another parish but I did not find a Bridget Walsh record with the parents you mentioned.

Are you aware of younger siblings? Civil registration started in 1864.

Have you considered autosomal DNA testing?
