Have spent over fifty years researching families, Coleman, Shea, Desmond and Weafer/Weaver. Looking of ancestors and historical data. Have rather comprehensive American infomatioon re above families - on Ancestry.com under forbes of Woburn. Need more re Irish hist9ory. For believe Coleman ancestors were seamen and may have served in the Royal Navy during Napoleonic wars. Have picures of several ancestors.

Would you be able to provide specific information as to the names of those you are researching?
As you can see below, the Roman Catholic records for Aghada begin in 1792 with some missing dates between 1837 and 1838. Those for the Church of Ireland begin in 1730. If you had the names of specific ancestors it would assist in the search. I add a link below to the National Archives, UK where you may be able to find more information about your sea-going ancestors
