Trying to trace the marriage of Cornelius Powell b abt 1788 Bandon, Ireland to Ann ? b abt 1796 St. Kitts & Nevis. West Indies. They settled in Bristol U.K. around 1833 with children Elizabeth b Ireland 1816 , Sarah b Ireland 1825 David b Ireland1828, Sarah Ann b1837, James b 1838, Eliza Jane 1844 in Bristol U.K Unfortunately I seem to be unable to trace any records before that date. I believe Cornelius may have been in the Merchant Navy prior to 1833.
Any help or suggestions would be very much appreciated please.

Bandon is in the civil parish of Ballymodan. Records for the corresponding RC parish of Bandon begin in 1794. I take it you have already searched irishgenealogy.ie for records of your ancestors?

Thanks you for your reply - Yes I have searched irishgenealogy.ie Church records for all the family born in Ireland to no avail no results found. A Cornelius Powell is shown in the Griffiths valuation although dates do not tally. Civil records are not available at present.
