I have been searching for information about my great great grandparents and it would appear my g g grandfather married a Johanna Collins in 1846 in Cahara.. I would appreciate any information anyone could give me about Cahara.

    I think you are looking for Caheragh which is a townland and civil parish in West Cork.

    I would go to www.irishgenealogy.ie which covers the church records for the Diocese of Cork and Ross and the church in Caheragh. There are a number of Johanna Collins marriages but I don't know the name of her husband so I can't tell if the record is there.

    I found an 1858 John Sullivan/Johanna Collins marriage in Caharagh on www.irishgenealogy.ie
