I'm looking for the story of Richard Nagle born around 1790's in Carrigtwohill. He married Rebecca O'Neil and had four children Michael, Joseph, Richard and Mary. His son Richard was born in 1824 and died in LaSalle, Illinois in 1911. His brothers Michael and Joseph died in LaSalle, Illinois too. Many Nagles from Carrigtwohill went to LaSalle and I'm trying to figure out the roots of this Nagle branch of the family. Thanks for any infromation. Sincerely, Margaret Nagle

I was intrigued by your entry. My Ohio DALYs had contact with Nagles, but alas, they were from Germany!
However, I went into familysearch.org, and found the following: Richard Nagle, b. 1790 Ireland appears on the 1850 US Census for Connecticut. In 1870, there's a Richard Nagle, b. 1790 Ireland , who appears on the US Census for Ohio. It looks to me like he migrated west across well-worn paths to reach Illinois. It's a common path, that even some of my Dalys travelled. There were also some other people who landed in Ohio from Carrigtwohill.
